Fencing is one of five sports which have been permanent fixtures at the Olympic Games since the first modern Games were held in 1896. Based on sword fighting, fencing demands speed, anticipation, reflexes and great mental strength.
While the activity has its roots in Europe, China and the United States have enjoyed success at recent Games won the second Olympic gold medal in Venezuela'shistory at London 2012.
Fencing as young as five or 6-years-old and participate for life. Young fencers can strive to compete at the high school or NCAA level or even to represent Team USA at the Cadet (U17) or Junior (U20) World Championships
1. Is fencing dangerous?
No, fencing is safe. This is a sport that has little risk of serious injury while offering important benefits that will help your child grow with confidence, discipline, quick-thinking and respect
2. Do I need to buy equipment?
No, we provide all the equipment for fencing, you just need to bring tennis shoes and sports clothing. If later on you decide to get your own equipment we can help you choose the type of items that you'll need and an appropriate vendor or us.
3. Do I need to schedule my free test class?
Yes, please call us in advance to make sure we have an opening and the correct equipment size for you. We will be happy to give you an introduction to the wonderful world of fencing.
4. Do you offer private lessons?
Yes, speak to our front desk to schedule private lesson for you or your children.
